Blooming Buds School, Moga celebrated the festival of ‘Vaisakhi’

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, under the able leadership of the group chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, the festival of ‘Vaisakhi’ was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. The school staff and all the students were present on this occasion. During the prayer meeting in the school, very interesting charts were presented by the students and articles were presented to increase the knowledge of other students.  While presenting the article, the students said that the festival of Vaisakhi is celebrated every year during the wheat harvest because on this occasion the wheat crop is fully ripe and ready.  The history of this day is also very important to Sikhism because on this day in 1699, the Khalsa Panth was founded by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. On this occasion, the children of class 5 performed Punjabi dance and the girls of class 8-9 performed Punjabi folk dance prepared by Mrs. Bhawana and Mrs. Aman. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that although the festival of Baisakhi is a symbol of happiness, this day also reminds us of the Jalianwala Bagh incident that took place in 1919, when hundreds of people were martyred on the orders of British officer Sir General Dyre. The school staff, management and students paid tribute to those martyrs. While celebrating the festival of Vaisakhi in the school, Punjabi folk dances were performed by the students in which students of second, fourth and fifth classes participated. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini told the students that the history and heritage of Punjab is very rich and great and this day of Vaisakhi reflects the history, heritage and Punjabiyat of Punjab. She said that although the day of Vaisakhi is considered to be the beginning of the native month of Vaisakh, it also brings the message of the harvesting of the wheat crop because on this occasion the wheat crop is fully ripe and ready for harvesting. Principal Madam paid tribute to the martyrs of Jalianwala Bagh and offered floral tributes. She further said that as Punjabis, it is the moral responsibility of all of us to respect our festivals and preserve our heritage. Finally, the school extended its best wishes to all the students and staff on the occasion of Vaisakhi.
