Blooming Buds School, Moga celebrated World Press Freedom Day
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, has created a unique identity for itself under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. Every special day, whether national or international, is celebrated in the school so that the general knowledge of the students can be increased. Under this series, World Press Freedom Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at the school. On this occasion, the students and teachers of the school discussed the importance of press freedom and its role in democracy and charts and articles related to this day were also presented. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani, while expanding the knowledge of the students, said that the press is the fourth pillar of any democracy and its freedom is very important. She said that only a free and impartial press can provide accurate information to the people and hold governments accountable. She further said that with the advent of social media in today’s times, the spread of information has become very rapid, but it is very important to identify true and false information. She inspired the students to become responsible journalists in the future and contribute in giving the right direction to the society. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini said that we all have to work together to maintain the freedom of the press. She said that journalists should do their work with impartiality and without any fear. She introduced the students to the basic principles of journalism and also told them about the challenges faced in this field. She motivated the students to understand the importance of freedom of the press and respect it. She said that the school organizes such programs from time to time so that the students can be made aware about social and national issues. All the staff and students were present on this occasion.
