Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the area, organized a drawing/painting competition under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini, as part of the awareness campaign ‘Save Water, Save Life’ being run by Kala Kunj Studio. In the competition, the school’s children conveyed the message of saving water in an extremely impactful manner through their artistic talent and inspired the entire generation towards water conservation.
During the competition, children creatively presented various important messages related to saving water in their paintings. A girl from the junior category gave the message, through her painting, of getting a leaking tap at home fixed immediately. Her painting was a beautiful example of how deeply children are concerned even about small wastages of water, and how aware they are about water conservation.
On this occasion, School Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini praised the event and shared that continuous efforts are being made towards water conservation within the school as well. She said that instead of letting water from the school’s ACs and water filters go to waste, it is collected in a separate tank, and this water is used for cleaning and sanitation purposes in the school. Through these efforts, students are also being made aware of the importance of water and its conservation.
Neera Aggarwal, Chairperson of Muskurahat Seva Trust, who attended the program as chief guest, praised the school’s efforts, saying that BBS School is emerging as a role model in Kala Kunj Studio’s ‘Save Water, Save Life’ campaign. She said that regarding the water conservation theme that Kala Kunj Studio is campaigning for, the school is already working effectively in that direction. She added that this effort is certainly commendable for society and the country.
Among the children who participated in the competition, winners from various groups were given certificates and gifts, and were encouraged. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani, inspiring the children, said that water conservation should not be limited to just a competition or a campaign. Children should make it a habit in their daily lives and should also inspire their families, friends, and people around them to save water.
During the program, the children’s creativity and their thinking on water conservation drew everyone’s attention. The competition conveyed the message that every drop of water is precious, and that water conservation begins with small habits.
